Kraft Heinz is announcing a voluntary recall of approximately 5,760 cases of Capri Sun Wild Cherry Flavored Juice Drink Blend beverages.

Kraft Heinz has issued a voluntary recall on 5,760 cases of Wild Cherry flavored Capri Sun Pouches after contamination.

Kraft Heinz announced in a statement on Friday that a diluted cleaning solution normally used to clean food processing equipment, “was inadvertently introduced into a production line at one of our factories.”

After investigating a number of consumer reports regarding the taste of the product, the company notified retail partners and distributors and is actively working to remove the potentially affected products from circulation.

Recalled items are marked with a “best by date of” June 25, 2023 and are made and sold in the United States.

Individual pouch sizes are 6.6 FL OZ. and would also be marked by June 25, 2023 “best by” date.

Customers are encouraged to stop consumption and can return any potentially affected items to the store if they believe items have been affected.
