Bank of America customers are sharing concerns over what appears to be a company wide system error.

On Wednesday, many customers experienced account balance errors, some of which are reporting negative accounts after showing many unauthorized Zelle transfers.

Zelle, is a banking feature marketed as a fast, safe and easy way to exchange money with friends, family and other people you trust. It has become a popular feature as most US National banks have adopted this system to enhance their users’ banking experience.

One Bank of America customer took to twitter to reach out to Zelle Support sharing they received money yesterday through their system and the money is not showing in their account today.

The Zelle Support account responded to the user saying, “The Zelle App & Network are up & running. We are aware of an issue that is impacting Bank Of America customers when sending & receiving payments. We recommend contacting Bank of America’s customer support team for additional updates.”

While this is the response this user received, other users are reporting money missing from their account without any further explanation as to why and are experiencing no response from the company.

Some automated messages within Bank of America’s app have been posted and says, “Details for this account are unavailable,” while later on in the afternoon showing an updated message saying, “Deposits made through January 14 and January 17 may be delayed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

While this doesn’t exactly ease the concerns of users who are experiencing account discrepancies, it does appear that Bank Of America is actively working on debugging the issue.

The banking error is reportedly ongoing and has not yet been corrected.

The website Downdetector reported a huge spike in outage reports with Bank of America at around 10:30 a.m. ET. Similarly, Downdetector reported a spike in Zelle customers flagging outages as early as around 9 a.m. ET.

If you are a current Bank of America user, check your account and follow up with a representative for updates.
