Federal safety officials and The Boppy Company are urging consumers to stop using the recalled baby loungers.

More than 3 million Boppy baby loungers were recalled in 2021 after being found for risk of suffocation.
The Boppy Company recalled the Original Newborn Lounger, Boppy Preferred Newborn Lounger and Pottery Barn Kids Boppy Newborn Lounger September 2021 due to the risk that infants can suffocate if they roll, move, or are placed in a position that obstructs breathing.
Federal safety regulators are sounding the alarm as a reminder to parents that the Boppy Company baby loungers are not safe for use and have caused two more infant deaths since the last notice.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission wants consumers to know that the Newborn Loungers have not been legal for sale since they were recalled, but since then two more infant deaths have been reported.
The continue to emphasize that the newborn loungers are not safe and urges marketplaces to stop selling the recalled items.
